Actua Innovació and the network of cities collaborating with the City Science Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), are organizing the first Open Innovation Challenge for a Smart and Sustainable Andorra, from 14 to 18 January in Andorra.
 
Representatives of Actua Innovació and experts from Germany, Spain, the United States, Finland, France and Taiwan will take part in these sessions.
 
The conference will consist of a series of thematic presentations on the projects and initiatives being worked on in cities such as Barcelona, Boston, Hamburg, Helsinki, Taipei, Lyon and Toulouse.
 
During the week, challenges will be tackled on energy and urbanism (15 January); mobility (16 January); tourism and commerce (17 January) with the aim of involving the country’s citizens and businesses in the short term. Andorran businessmen and researchers will play an active role during these days.
 
The main event will take place on Tuesday, January 15h at 9 am in the Prat del Roure’s congress centre (Escaldes-Engordany) and will be inaugurated by the Minister of Economy, Innovation and Competitiveness, Gilbert Saboya, and by the director of Actua Innovació, Marc Pons.
