2017 closes with the lowest numbers of unemployed in recent years

The total number of job seekers registered at the Servei d’Ocupació in December 2017 stood at 300, which represents 12.8% less than the previous month (344), and 0.3% less than last December (301), according to the Government of Andorra. This is the lowest number in 9 years.

The total number of wage-earners last October was 36,040, with an increase of 2.8% compared to last year (35,049 wage-earners registered). This is the highest number of employees in the last 7 years, for October. The average number of employees during the last twelve months was 37,481, with a positive variation of 2.9% compared to the same period last year.

The total wage bill for the month of October 2017 was 71.75 million euros, with a positive variation of 4.5% compared to the same month the previous year. With respect to the average salary, this was 1,990.92 euros, (+1.6% comparing to the average salary in October 2016, which was 1,959.10 euros).
