Andorra Business and Andorra Research+Innovation have the great pleasure of announcing the winners of the first Edition of the Andorra Sports Scale-Up program, developed in collaboration with the Global Sport Innovation Center (GSIC) and with the support of SPSG Consulting (SPSG). After having received over 40 applications forma round the world, the board of experts selected three promising companies of sports technology. The winning startups are Qlac, Bobsla and Etelätär Innovation.
Qlac is a Polish company who have created a sensor with which the training of sportsmen and women, regardless of their level, is easily measured with previously unseen precision, through a sensor the size of a watch.
Bobsla, from Germany, develops electric vehicles for the inclusion of disabled people in winter resorts. The Bobsla vehicle includes spare batteries, a charging station and weather forecasting systems. It only requires a small surface of snow on which to operate (such as 50 to 100 meters) and electricity of 220 V.
Etelätär Innovation, from Finland but based in Andorra, specializes in deploying navigational solutions and new generation tracking, low cost and low consumption, and, in addition, operates 360º premium electromobility systems and processes liti EV batteries to manufacture energy storage systems.
These startups will have access to a three-month scale-up program which includes content, mentoring sessions and activities related to entrepreneurship and innovation, internationalization in the sports industry, the ecosystem of Andorra, marketing and sales, business models, strategy, financing and much more.

The Andorra Sports Scale-Up program aims to provide support to startups in the sector of sports technology, prioritizing solutions for winter and mountain sports. The program is a great opportunity for the Andorran ecosystem to connect with innovative startups and help them grow internationally.
The call was opened on March 9th and closed on April 14th. Spain, the United States and Andorra were the countries which presented the most applications. The selection process was based on six criteria: innovation, impact, scalability, team maturity, sustainability and business model.
The Andorra Sports Scale-Up program and its partners commit in providing support to the development of the sports industry and its growth potential and innovation. The selected startups will have access to a unique program that wil help them grow their business and have a positive impact on the sports industry.
