Imma Jiménez, director of Actua, Gorka Aixàs, coordinator of the Sports cluster and Vanesa Arroyo, cluster manager of ACTinn attended La Rotonda, on Andorran Television to present projects being developed by the economic promotion agency of Andorra.
Jiménez recalled that Actua was born with the economic opening in order to generate new activities and improve companies’ competitiveness. She also pointed out the work carried out by Actua, divided into three main areas: support to both Andorran and international investors and entrepreneurs; attracting foreign investment and promotion; and diversification of the economy in collaboration with the clusters.
Arroyo presented ACTinn, a cluster created 4 years ago by the Actua program, which was privatized last year, when businessmen decided to work together to minimize costs and participate in targeted events. Consequently, she illustrated the INNTEC Innovation Forum as a sign of possible objectives that can arise in a cluster.
Meanwhile, Aixàs informed of the work carried out by the sports cluster, indicating that it is a younger movement, but also seeking privatization. Aixàs talked about creating interesting and achievable goals for participating companies, including the creation of a single calendar for sporting events or adding medical or nutritional aspects to the existing sports offer.
The director of Actua finally detailed the steps undertaken by other clusters such as health and wellness, or education, taking into account the tourism sector, which continues to be the main economic engine of the country.
