The head of government, Minister Maria Ubach and the Hungarian Foreign and Trade Minister, Peter Szijjártó, discussed many aspects, such as the progress of negotiations between Andorra and the European Union for an Association Agreement. The Hungarian minister confirmed Hungary’s support for the Principality both in the negotiations and in the transition the country will have to carry out in order to implement the “Acquis communautaire”, and said he was in favour of respecting the specific features that Andorra defended in the Agreement.
Peter Szijjártó also showed special interest in the economic and tax reform strategy carried out in Andorra in recent years as well as in the process of economic opening. Both delegations also agreed to organize an economic mission for 2018 with the participation of Hungarian and Andorran businessmen.
The official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjártó, was the first made by Hungary to the Principality of Andorra.
