Andorra Business participated in the International congress for Startups, held in Sevilla where over a thousand entrepreneurs, investors, innovation centers, associations from the sector, universities and institutions from around the world take part.
The director of Andorra Business, Judit Hidalgo, intervened in one of the talks which under the title European Ecosystem for Startups, analyzed the present and future of the sector. Hidalgo explained that “in Andorra five or six years ago nobody would have dared speak about having an ecosystem for emerging companies and thanks to the political will to build it and the joining of different institutions of the country, both private and public companies, the university, and collective work an ecosystem is being built that is already very interesting even as a reference outside Andorra”.
In this sense, the director Andorra Business presented the opportunities offered by Andorra to entrepreneurs and invited participants to take part in the fourth Edition of the Andorra Business Market to be held on May 9th.
In addition, the direction of the International Congress for Startups pointed out that “the event is the largest entrepreneurial innovation space with an attending investment mobilization capacity of over 500 million euros, with business rounds, pitch areas, stands and conferences”. The day-long event also served to establish contacts with the international ecosystem of business innovation, investment, entrepreneurship and formation.
The International Congress for Startups, will gather through Friday emerging companies and technological businesses, over 200 lecturers and 300 institutions from around the world take part, and tickets were sold out before the event began, according to information provided by organizers. The aim is to promote the generating of alliances between the ecosystems of innovation, entrepreneurship and start-ups favoring investment and the connection of talent with territories.
The congress is organized by the International Startup Association and the Red Business Market, it is also co-organized by the Sevilla Chamber of Commerce and the Factory of Sevilla, and as collaborators we have the Council for University, Research and Innovation, and the City Council of Sevilla.
