Andorra obtains the second best score in acoustic quality since data collection began

The Department of Environment and Sustainability presented public results for acoustic quality controls carried out in 2017. In this sense, 88% of the stations reached the objectives of good quality (51% excellent and 37% good).

 These good results were only bettered in 2014, when not a single measuring point recorded poor or very poor quality.

Typical cases that negatively affect the acoustic quality are mainly motor vehicle traffic, road Works, occasional open-air events, or river waterflows.

There are also certain aspects that have contributed to improve acoustic quality, such as the increase in electric vehicles. In this sense, the Engega Program, promoted by the Government, has a direct impact on both acoustic and air quality.
