The Minister for Presidency, Economy and Enterprise, and president of Andorra Business, Jordi Gallardo, held, on Tuesday and Wednesday, various entrepreneurial meetings in Paris with representatives from the sectors of economy, innovation, digital, health, e-sports and consulting.
The program of the work sessions, organized by Andorra Business, included meetings with directors from some of the most important French entities established in Paris, such as the meeting held with the director of the French Chamber of Commerce, Antony Valentini, (in which they discussed economic aspects of bilateral interest for business people from both countries), as well as meetings with presidents and directors from entities such as France Fintech, France Digitale and French HealthCare, with consultants and owners of renowned investment funds.
In this sense, Gallardo stated that “it was a great opportunity to explain in which stage of economic diversification we found ourselves in Andorra and what opportunities present themselves. We have met with various multipliers which helps us to communicate with their network of contacts what Andorra can offer, the changes we are working on, like the amendments to the foreign investment law, and which are the priority sectors we are promoting”.
In addition, the minister visited one of the reference ecosystems in the business field of digital Health, the PariSanté Campus. In the Meeting held with its general director, Antoine Tesnière, they spoke about the model and characterizing traits that could be implanted in Andorra. The entity, which is funded by both public and private capital is a reference in the optimization of health data use. It has a vast network of national and international collaborators who promote innovation in this key sector, including specialized accelerators in digital health, over 60 startups, and important private actors from industry sector and health services. Open to the public, the PariSanté Campus also widely implicates citizens in its progress and integrates ethical dimensions in digital health.
Gallardo also informed on the country´s latest projects and the investment opportunities in Andorra in interviews given to journalists from prestigious outlets such as Le Figaro, France Inter, France Info Radio and l’Opinion, among others.
Friday´s work session will end this evening with the Meeting to be held with the general assistant director of Natural Sciences from UNESCO, Shamila Nair-Bedouelle.
The Andorran delegation in Paris was completed by the State Secretary for Economy Eric Bartolomé, and the Andorran ambassador to France, Eva Descarrega.
