The science of chiropractic is recognized by the World Health Organization and is included in the health sciences that deal with diagnosing, treating and preventing mechanical disorders of the nerve, muscle and skeletal system and the effects of these disorders on the functioning of the nervous system. With the aim of promoting and divulging this speciality, as well as promoting Andorra as a healthcare and welfare destination, the Andorran Chiropractic Association, the Andorra Chiropractic Centre and other collaborators are organizing the first congress-seminar on Chiropractic in the Principality next September.
The congress will enjoy the participation of such distinguished personalities as Dr. Jean Paul Pianta with over 40 years of experience in the field and a staunch defender of active prevention to reduce medical expenditure. Dr. Paul has treated such well-known patients as Queen Rania of Jordan and the King of Morocco, among others. The congress will also enjoy the participation of Dr. Jean-Pierre Meersseman, medical director of the laboratory of AC Milan, who is highly knowledgeable in the field of chiropractic in sport.
The congress, which is scheduled for 27, 28 & 29 September, expects to welcome between sixty and eighty participants, not just specialists and students of chiropractic but also members of the public in general.
