The Andorran Ambassador to the European Union, the Kingdom of Belgium, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Federal Republic of Germany, Maria Ubach, outlined Actua, the economic promotion agency of Andorra, in Diplomat Magazine, highlighting its role in the process of the Principality’s economic opening.
This Magazine was the first diplomatic magazine to appear in the Netherlands. In its latest edition, the ambassador detailed Andorra’s new economic model, including tax reforms, tourism and the process of rapprochement with Europe as key factors to improve the country’s competitiveness. Ubach emphasized innovation and clusters, as key instruments for diversifying the Andorran economy, creating synergies between the public and private sectors.
The ambassador presented ACTUA as being the program in charge of coordinating all actions aimed at diversifying the economy, supporting both Andorran entrepreneurs and foreign investors. The diplomat also recalled that in 2016 Andorra authorized 627 requests for foreign investment which represented an investment of 97 million euros.
