Under the title “Open Innovation in Andorra: Our Partnership with MIT Media Lab”, Saboya presented, at the Congress Centre in Andorra la Vella, the innovation projects being developed in the country and being carried out jointly by the ActuaTech Foundation and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
During the interview, conducted by Alex Rodriguez, regional director of Startup Grind in southern Europe, the minister said, “Andorra is willing to position itself as a recipient country of innovative projects applied to areas such as mobility and tourism”, and recalled that “both the size and characteristics of the country allow us to implement projects that in other regions would be more difficult to carry out”. Saboya also referred to “mobility, loyalty and other projects that will improve the experience of the more than 8 million visitors to the Principality each year and that collaboration with the private sector is very important”.
Saboya also mentioned “in such a globalised world, it is not only a question of being competitive, but of being unique, and Andorra has all the characteristics to be so”.
