The Secretary of State for Economic Diversification, Josep Maria Missé, presented the transformation of the Andorran economy and the new fiscal regulations during the South Summit held in Madrid. He also stressed the importance of economic diversification and the attraction of foreign investments.
Missé took part in this annual event that brings together more than 7,000 attendees including entrepreneurs and investors and represents one of the most important dates on the calendar for the business sector in Europe and Latin America.
In his speech, the Secretary of State talked about changes implemented in Andorra over the past five years, promoting policies focused on economic diversification and attracting foreign investment and implementing a comparable and compatible model. Missé mentioned many possibilities for Andorra’s economic opening process, being dynamic and attractive for investments while remaining competitive and recognized by international standards.
The Secretary of State and President of the Foundation ActuaTech exhibited the fruits of the strategies initiated in various sectors such as Health and Wellness Tourism, Sports and Education, through clusters and their progress in the development of projects in the sector of innovation and its application in sustainable policies relating to education, tourism and the environment. In this regard, Missé made special reference to the collaboration with the MIT developing many projects such as the construction of BIG DATA and the deployment of the self-driven electric vehicle.
