Naturland will once again host the Andorra Winter Triathlon with a predicted economic impact of 6 million Euros

The dates for the third edition of the Andorra Winter Triathlon have been confirmed: the 28th and 29th of January 2023. Following the success of the last edition, Andorra is preparing to host for the third consecutive time the Andorra Multisport Festival with four sports events of resistance and adventure, organized by The IRONMAN Group, taking place around the Principality.

Once again, the festival will count on the support offered by various collaborating entities and sponsors who continue to value this event, which in its last edition gathered 3000 participants and over 10000 accompanying supporters. Generating an overall economic impact in the Principality of over 6 million Euros.

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th of January 2023 are the dates when the Andorra Winter Triathlon will be held, the only winter race of the Andorra Multisport Festival. In this competition, the athletes will complete a circuit on foot, on mountain bikes and will finish with cross-country skiing.

The ETU announced on August 11th that the Andorran stage will be the European Championship, which means the arrival of teams from across the continent to Andorra to challenge themselves in the Principality´s cross-country ski resort.

The regional director for The IRONMAN Group in Andorra, Spain, Italy and Portugal, Agustí Pérez, stated that “Andorra is the ideal setting to celebrate high level sporting events such as the Andorra Winter Triathlon, of which we must highlight that the previous two editions hosted the World Championships. This year´s hosting of the European one consolidates the Andorra Winter Triathlon and Andorra on the world stage of winter triathlons”.

All within a complete program framework of mountain sports competitions that turn the Andorra Multisport Festival into an extraordinary event and will once again place the Principality and its unique Pyrenean landscapes on the map as a reference in the organization of sporting events.

In this sense the Minister for Presidency, Economy and Enterprise of the Andorran Government, Jordi Gallardo, highlighted that “this designation consolidates Andorra as one of the best destinations to host winter triathlons. For the third year in a row the Naturland installations will be the stage for a high-level international competition that will gather hundreds of people, both competitors and accompanying parties. The competition will be held within the framework of the Andorra Multisport Festival organized by the IRONMAN Group in the country and besides the economic impact left in Andorra, the media coverage will also allow us to publicize the country, part of our sports offer, as well as our tourism and nature a little more”.
