NIU’s financing round reaches 415,000 euros for entrepreneurship projects

NIU organised on November 20th a financing round that has achieved the amount of 415,000 euros. Nine technology companies presented themselves before fifty financing representatives from banks, family offices, venture capital funds and business angels. Investors have shown interest so far in four projects, three of them from the NIU facilities.

Negotiations between investors and entrepreneurs are still open, which could mean that in the coming weeks some other operation could be completed, according to Miquel Gouarré, head of the NIU.

Financing rounds are one of the NIU pillars, to seek capital for incubated projects. However, managers from Andorra Telecom have extended the Demo Day to allow other start-ups to meet investors.

Gouarré expressed his satisfaction with the results achieved because “the format is attractive for investors and at the same time, it is proof of NIU projects’ quality, as three of the five incubator initiatives have been funded, so far”. NIU plans to hold a new round with the same format in the coming months, for both incubator-based companies and external projects.
