The 10th edition of the Forum Portugal Exportador took place in Lisbonne on November 19th. The vice-Portuguese prime minister in office, Mr. Paulo Portas, stressed the importance of the way of a sustainable economy that could be achieved through a balance between the three pillars: the pillar of investment, which Mr. Portas considers to be the most critical indicator of all, the pillar of exports, which indicates the ability of a country to gain market shares abroad, and the pillar of consumption.
The Forum has hosted nearly 1,600 participants, 90 exhibitors, 17 Chambers of Commerce and Industry, 11 business associations, 6 international consulting areas, 37 Embassies and 24 workshops and 31 themed cafes have been conducted. In this context, the Actua program, accompanied by the Andorran Ambassador to Portugal, the Embassy’s 3rd Secretary and the Administrative Secretary, wanted to take advantage of the event for solving questions about the importation and distribution of goods and services in Andorra, for making contacts with potential foreign investors and for presenting the economic openness and tasks being undertaken by the Actua program in this areas.

We value the meeting positively since we could make 14 real contacts, 50% more than in the previous edition, thus representing 11 Portuguese companies probably interested in selling its products in Andorra or moving to establish in the country. Companies who requested information were mostly in the food sector and to a lesser proportion of the service sector and, more specifically, consulting. We have also compiled information on the strategies implemented to promote the increasing of foreign investment in foreign countries by means of Embassies that were represented.
