Six projects presented at the NIU Demo Day generate investors’ interest

The NIU Demo Day was held on Monday, October 21st to present entrepreneurial projects to potential investors. In its third edition, it has established itself as an annual reference event. About sixty representatives of banks, venture capital funds, family office and business angels, learned about the four projects developed at the NIU, the Andorra Telecom’s business incubator, and two other external projects.

Andorra Telecom’s general director, Jordi Nadal, welcomed the event, and said the NIU contributes to finding financing solutions for the companies involved, but also stressed the Demo Day is an opportunity “to give visibility to certainly interesting projects that are being carried out”.

Nadal was “very satisfied” with the response obtained in the three Demo Day editions “which means the NIU occupies a key role in the Andorran entrepreneurship ecosystem. In this sense, he pointed out Andorra Telecom wants the business incubator to respond soon to innovation projects developed by companies and institutions in the country.

Miquel Gouarré, manager of the NIU, thinks the Demo Day presentations are only “the visible part” of a process that must continue with the contacts between investors and entrepreneurs and the closing of agreements. Gouarré recalled that financing is essential for entrepreneurs to be able to count on a solid team that contributes to implement and launch their proposal. “For this reason, we have always been clear that a basic element of the NIU should be to present projects to investors”.
